Graham Earl’s manager Frank Maloney went to see his British and Commonwealth lightweight champion go through his final hard workout at the TKO gym in East London under the watchful eye of Johnny Eames yesterday before his fight with World class Russian lightweight Yuri Romanov on Friday night in Dagenham.
Maloney stated “I was thoroughly impressed by Graham, in the eight years I have been in charge of him this is the best I have seen him looking. This is going to be Graham’s year if he keeps improving like this he will be the shining star of the lightweight division.
“After ten hard weeks of training including being away from his family over Christmas and New Year, Earl is determined to stop the “Pocket Beast from East’ adding another British scalp to his resume and I see him stopping Romanov inside eight rounds.”
Also British light-middleweight champion Jamie Moore has been added to the bill and he will be keen to impress the hard core London boxing fans as he looks to make a statement in his march towards European and World honours.
Gary “Hot Stuff’ Woolcombe will also feature in a ten rounder and he will be looking to keep the British title in the Maloney camp when Moore moves onto another level.
There will also be a full supporting card filled with the some of the top prospects in the Maloney promotions camp.
The show will take place at the Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Dagenham on the 27th January 2006. For more information contact Maloney Promotions on 0208 692 6313.
