Don't Miss This Fantastic Shared Michael Jennings/Amir Khan Bill!
The weigh-in for Sports Network's much awaited bill tomorrow at the Nottingham Arena went off without a hitch today as headliners Michael Jennings and Amir Khan made their trips to the scales in front of a room packed with photographers and journalists. British Welterweight Champion Jennings weighed in at 10 stone 6 pounds 4 ounces (146.25 lbs) while his challenger Young Muttley (Lee Woodley) tipped the beam at 10 stone 5 pounds 8 ounces (145.5 lbs). Red hot prospect Amir Khan was recorded at 9 stone 11 and a half pounds (135.5 lbs) with opponent Vitali Martynov scaling 9 stone 11 pounds (135lbs). Prepared to contend for the vacant English Featherweight crown, Liverpool's undefeated Derry Matthews came in at 8 stone 13 pounds (125 lbs) and veteran Steve Chinnock rang up 9 stone even (126 lbs). Also on the bill will be former British Welter Champion David Barnes facing Fabrice Colombel, light middle Matthew Hall meeting John Foster, welterweight Tony Doherty squaring off against Ernie Smith and light middle Martin Conception going against Manocha Salari.
