Pressure was the key to victory as Miguel Espino (11-2-1, 4 KOs) worked his way to a 6 round unanimous decision over Dorian Beaupierre (12-5-2, 6 KOs) in Providence RI, on ESPN’s “The Contender.” The judge’s scorecards read 59-55, 58-56, 58-56. Espino wore his opponent down with hard body blows and nice combos to the head that landed in the later rounds. Look for Miguel to make some noise in the middleweight division as he marches toward the top ten. “I on a scale of 1-10 I give myself a 6. I should have used my jab more, but I think if the fight was an 8 rounder I would have knocked him out. My plan is to stay active and keep working hard with my trainer John Bray. I want to get back into the ring as soon as possible.” Miguel Espino
