By Boxing Press March 20th, 2006 All Press Releases

Five days to go till the explosion

On Friday night David Haye defends his European title for the first time against the unbeaten Danish cruiserweight Lasse Johansen at the York Hall in Bethnal Green.

With fifteen wins all by stoppage for Haye and ten wins inside the distance in fourteen fights for Johansen and you can be guarnateed there will be massive explosions inside the ring once these two start throwing leather and one thing you can count on is that this one won't last the distance.

Johansen has already said he is not coming to London for the sightseeing or a payday and he fully expects to go back to Denmark with Haye's belt and European crown.

For Haye it is his fight under the promotional banner of Maloney Promotions and on the "Hayemaker hits London' show he once again has to step up to the plate and prove to the doubters that he has what it takes not only to retain this belt but to also go on to World honours in both cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions.

On the undercard Gary 'Hot Stuff' Woolcombe takes a step up in class when he faces Portugal's Eugenio Monteiro who is based in Manchester over eight rounds as the chief support.

The show also features the exciting Anthony Small who will be looking to make it ten wins out of ten in devestating fashion at the home of British boxing against Finnish foe Kai Kauramaki.

Tickets for this show can be purchased online at http://www.maloneypromotions or via the ticket hotline on 0871 226 1508.

For more details of the show contact Maloney Promotions on 0208 692 6313 or via e-mail at press@maloneypromotions.com
