Boxing Info: Jason Delisle - Clinton Woods

By Boxing Press April 2nd, 2006 All Press Releases

Aussie light heavy Jason “the Nailer” Delisle has been training the house down since Xmas with the possible rematch with Clinton Woods looming. Speaking from his home in Sydney he said “This is one of the sports where you have to put the horse before the cart and I have been training all year for this. Yes it will be disappointing if I don’t get the fight, however if I am fortunate enough to get another crack at him - this time I will do it properly. I “Nailed” (dropped) him early in the fight last time and wasn’t able to finish him off. This time round I know exactly how to stop Clinton Woods and come home a World Champion.

Trainer Dino Billinghurst said that he was confident his charge would stop Clinton second time around. We know exactly how to break him down and wont be leaving up to the judges if we get the chance again. Jase was motivated enough last time being a World Title Eliminator however the sniff of going back for seconds for the World Title has taken his motivation to a whole new level. Rematches always make for interesting fights and this is one that we will win if we are fortunate enough to get the chance.

Manager Stuart Duncan said that he was confident Jason would get the fight. The crowd loved the fight & cheered Jase as he was leaving the ring last time after 12 hard fought rounds. The broadcaster will be looking for a competitive fight for their viewers and we believe this will see Jase as a favourite. We have worked with Denis Hobson’s team before and they know we are professional and easy to work in with so hopefully we will have an answer early next week.
