After yesterday's exciting and pulsating contest between Leo O'Reilly and Silence Saheed in what has to be the small hall fight of the year, O'Reilly has managed to secure himself a spot on the undercard of the much anticipated showdown between Brian Magee and Carl Froch for Froch's British and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles on May 26th at the historical York Hall in Bethnal Green, London.
O'Reilly's manager Frank Maloney is now in negotiations with Phillipe Fondu to tie up Tonchto Tontchev after his devastating one punch kayo of Dean Phillips for a match up with O'Reilly.
O'Reilly who along with manager and promoter Maloney believes he did enough to win the fight sees the Tontchev fight as a way of gatecrashing the big time.
Maloney commented, "Whatever people say styles make fights and if Tontchev fights another hundred times he will never throw that punch again, he never threw it in his time with me and he will never throw it again, it was just one of those things that happen."
O'Reilly who watched the fight from ringside said "I would love to fight Tontchev, it would give me a short cut to the top.
"I was hoping to fight Dean Phillips but after yesterday's unfortunate events I would like to take on his conquerer Tontchev."
Also on the undercard at the legendary home of British Boxing the York Hall will be the fast rising star of the light-middleweight division, Gary Woolcombe as well as the professional debut of Soldier Boy Chris Pacy.
