The eagerly awaited clash for the British and Commonwealth super-middleweight title fight between Brian Magee and Carl Froch will be backed up with Britain's fast rising light-middle star Gary Woolcombe in his first big test against hard punching Southern Area light-middleweight champion Gilbert Eastman over ten rounds.
The ten rounder for Eastman's Southern Area title will be Woolcombe's first major step towards a British title fight at the end of 2006.
There have been many questions asked of Woolcombe's abilities but he has answered them all so far with several impressive displays.
The clean living Woolcombe who still lives with his mum and dad and likes nothing more than spending the night fishing has built up a big following in his neighbourhood of South London said
"I am looking forward to the opportunity and I am desperate to impress and step forward, although I won the last fight I was a bit disappointed with my performance, although after sitting down with my team I can see that it was a great learning fight and I am now looking forward to repaying all of the people who have supported me by winning the Southern
Area title before I move on to the British title before the end of the year."
Tickets for the show which will take place at the legendary York Hall on the 26th May are priced at £35 and £70 and can be purchased online at http://www.maloneypromotions.com or via the ticket hotline on 0871 226 1508.
