Super-featherweight hot-shot Kevin Mitchell aims to derail Argentinian train Angel Hugo Ramirez at the York Hall on Saturday 13 May. Unbeaten Mitchell headlines the Brat Pack show alongside top talents Ross Minter and Danny Hunt when he makes the second defence of his IBF Intercontinental title against the Buenos Aires puncher nicknamed El Tren. Ramirez, who is now based in Spain, boast a record of 15-3-2, with 6 knockouts and has never been stopped.
Mighty Mitchell's steel fists have KO'd 12 of his 18 victims early with six in the opening round and reckons he will halt Ramirez in his tracks. "When I hit Ramirez he will think that he's just been hit by a speeding freight train," stormed the Dagenham terror.
"I want to knock him out early because my last fight went twelve rounds which was great to see if I've got the stamina over the championship distance - which I know I have - but there is no better feeling in the boxing ring than landing that perfect sweet KO punch,"
He added, "I'm up for a tear up with him if he fancies it, I know that the Argie boxers are a tough lot and he won't come over here without putting up a fight but I know he won't last toe-to-toe against me,"
"He's never been stopped so that will be my motivation to be the first person to chin him."
Sheffield's Ryan Rhodes, the record-breaking former British Light-Middleweight Champion, Pontypool welterweight Tony Doherty, Dagenham lightweight Dean Smith, Romford super-middleweight Richard Horton complete the card.
Tickets for The Brat Pack, priced at £40 and £60, are available from the Sports Network Box Office 01992 550 888 or online at www.frankwarren.tv
