Future super featherweight contender Dominic Salcido will headline the next installment of the popular “Path To Glory" Boxing Extravaganza on Monday, April 24 at the Doubletree Hotel Event Center in Ontario, California. The original date was scheduled for Friday 21st. After some scheduling conflicts the fight was |
moved to the following Monday night.
The main event will feature the explosive Dominic Salcido (8-0, 5 KOs) from near Rialto, CA, in a six-round bout. The talented prospect will headline a show for the first time in his career.
Salcido recently signed a long-term agreement with Thompson Boxing Promotions.
Salcido kayoed Odilon Rivera, his most recent opponent, in round four of his last fight after an eleven-month lay off. “I need to get more rounds and improve my skills,” said Salcido from his training camp in nearby Indio. “Being the main event adds some pressure but I am excited about it,” concluded Salcido.
An opponent will be announced shortly.
Also on the card will be flyweight sensation Manuel Roman (7-0-1, 5 KOs), plus super middleweight Ivan Stovall (3-1, 2 KOs) against Juan Carlos Parra (5-5-2, 4 KOs). Welterweights Gustavo Torrales (4-1, 2 KOs) and Juan Pablo Montes de Oca (6-9, 3 KOs) will face each other, and featherweight Sytel Wilbarn (1-0) will go at it against Isidro Herrera (0-3-1). Also, phenomenal southpaw Carlos Martinez (1-0,1 KO) will face Felipe Campaña (2-3-2, 1 KO) in a jr. welterweight duel.
