Tonight in the Entertainment Center, Laredo, Texas, USA WBA super flyweight champion Alexander Munoz will lay his championship on the line and challenger Martin Castillo will be giving his all to take it. Munoz is undefeated in his campaign as the champion and with a nickname like "El Explosivo," he might well remain so for a while.
Meanwhile, in Bally's Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey in the USA, heavyweight contenders Dominick Guinn and Sergei Lyakhovich collide in an intriguing battle which should go some way to deciding how far each fighter might go in terms of world honors.
On the same card, featherweight contender Ricardo "Rocky" Juarez will look to keep his number one ranking with the IBF alive against Guty Espadas. A win for Juarez keeps him firmly placed as the primary challenger for unified champion Juan Manuel Marquez's IBF title and after the Marquez-Pacquiao fight scheduled for February of the New Year, Juarez might well find himself in for a title fight.
