Silverhawk World Championship Boxing in association with Ringsports Boxing Promotions celebrate the spirit of Cinco de Mayo with the return of their highly successful pro boxing series in Ybor City on Friday Night.
Main Event III ... USA vs Mexico is headlined by Aaron "Murder" Mitchell (23-1-1, 18 KOs) taking on Carlos "Psycho" Bates (31-24, 13 KOs) while brother Eric "Murder" Mitchell (18-1-1, 9 KOs) faces off against Jose Hilton Santos in the co-feature. Five other bouts round out the card which will take place at the Ybor City Multi Fight Complex, 1430 E. 7th. Ave., Ybor City.
Following highly successful amateur careers the Mitchell brothers have made an impressive impact in the professional ranks. Aaron Mitchell has won seven straight fights by knockout and is considered one of the best super middleweight fighters in the world. Aaron recently issued a challenge to undisputed super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe to face the champ in his next title defense on July 9th.
Eric Mitchell has won six of his last seven fights with the only loss coming in a decision loss to Oscar De La Hoya's next opponent Ricardo Mayorga (26-4-1) the current WBC Light Middleweight Champion.
