The last few days have been filled with press release after press release announcing that Fighter A wants to call out Fighter B, but it seems as if no one wants to fire back. I see these press releases drifting around the internet, and they certainly make for good fodder, but it always seems to be one-sided, someone gets called out, but no one answers the call. I want the entire division on notice, I will answer the call. I will take anyone, anywhere, anytime. Time is not on my side, I had a shot a Byrd’s title and it slipped through my fingers, but I liked the taste, and I want another shot. I don’t care if its Rahman, Maskaev, Toney, Lyachovich, Klitshscko, Valuev, Brock, Briggs, Austin, Peter or Ibragimov, just line them up.
I have work to do on Saturday, May 6th, and I’m not taking Mike Mollo lightly, but I also expect to be victorious and in spectacular fashion. Like I said, I had my bite at the apple, and it didn’t work out, but this is the best my arm has felt in quite some time, the right hand is back, it feels like it did when I first laced on a pair of gloves. Anyone who thinks that I am done, “shot” or got old overnight is in for a very rude awakening. I am, without a doubt the most athletic fighter in the division, and no one disputes my power, just ask Wladimir how the right hand feels.
All of your promoters certainly know how to reach Don King, so make the phone call; I promise that I will answer.
Sincerely,
DaVarryl "Touch of Sleep" Williamson, MA
