Holt Tops Duva Boxing Card In Atlantic City

By Boxing Press May 18th, 2006 All Press Releases

Red hot junior welterweight prospect Kendall Holt (20-1, 12 KO’s) is ready to “Rumble at the Trop" when the Paterson, New Jersey native squares off against vs. Jauquin Gallardo (17-4, 5 KO’s) in the main event on a spectacular fight night presented by Duva Boxing and Star Boxing at the Tropicana Casino And Resort in Atlantic City, NJ, on June 9. ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights will televise the 10-round featured attraction.

The highly-regarded Holt has reeled off five wins in a row in the past year and a half to re-emerge as a top contender in the junior welterweight ranks. Gallardo is a native of San Leandro, California, and comes off an impressive unanimous decision over Juan Yoani Cervantes for his 17th career victory.

Undefeated local sensations will fill out the bill, as Chuck “The Professor” Mussachio (6-0, 3 KO’s), the Wildwood, New Jersey teacher, mixes it up in a six rounder junior middleweight contest.

Bridgeport, Pennsylvania's sensational light middleweight Harry Yorgey (13-0, 7 KO’s) will also be on the card in a six rounder, giving his Pennsylvania fans the opportunity to ride to the shore to watch the spectacular youngster put his unblemished record on the line.

Atlantic City welterweight Lorenzo Bethea (5-2) gets the chance to show his wares in his hometown, while Jersey City's young knockout artist and two time Golden Glove champion Raymond Biggs (3-0, 3 KO's) will also be on the card.

Tickets are priced at $150 for Golden Ringside, $75, $50 and $35, and are available at the Tropicana box office or TicketMaster.
