The word making rounds in British boxing circles is that former IBF Light Heavyweight titlist Glen Johnson will be the man opposing WBO/IBF Super Middleweight Champion Joe Calzaghe at Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on 8 July. Should that be the case, expect the already brisk ticket sales for the Sports Network promotion to accelerate through the roof for Calzaghe's triumphant home return. Some issues that will have to be resolved is at what weight will the contest take place and will Calzaghe's title belts be at risk? Stay tuned for more details as the situation develops.
