Summer Boxing Bonanza: David Haye - Martin Power - Graham Earl

By Boxing Press June 8th, 2006 All Press Releases

In the midst of World cup fever and mania life in other sports must still go on so Maloney Promotions are pleased to announce a summer hat-trick of shows.

Starting with “Repeat or Redemption’ at the York Hall on the 29th June when Martin Power goes out to win the Lonsdale belt for keeps just thirty days after his sensational stoppage of Darlington’s Isaac Ward at the same venue. This fight will be backed up by the man Frank Maloney calls a genuine World class fighter, British based Nigerian Ajose Olusegun who will be hoping to win the first of many titles in Britain.

On July 14th , Britain’s number one lightweight Graham Earl takes on European champion Juan Carlos Melero-Diaz for the European lightweight title and knows this will take him one step closer to his ambition of winning a World title and there is now way he would come in overweight in Las Vegas if the opportunity arose.

Earl said “I would have cut off a leg to make the weight, that’s how much it means to me to fight for a World title.”

Making it a hat-trick will be Britain’s number one pin-up boxer and golden boy of the ring David Haye who will take on Ismael Abdoul at the York Hall in Bethnal Green in a defence of his European cruiserweight title, this fight has been put back from June 29th due to David suffering a neck injury during training.

Maloney jokes “At least these three shows will get us over the disappointment of England not winning the World Cup. My heart wants them too but my head tells me that a team who relies so much on one player has bad management behind it.

“I hope by July 21^st , England have won the World Cup, Martin Power is the owner of the Lonsdale belt for keeps, Graham Earl is the new European champion and David Haye is one step closer to being World Champion.”

Tickets for all these shows can be purchased via the ticket hotline on 0871 226 1508 or online at http://www.maloneypromotions.com.
