Boxing’s “Ghost” Gets Shot At Redemption

By Boxing Press June 14th, 2006 All Press Releases

Oakland, California will be the epicenter for an earthquake predicted to hit the Bay Area, when Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (17-1-1 10KO’s) and Gamaliel Diaz (20-1-2 9KO’s) fight in "The Ultimate Rematch" at the Oakland Arena, June 23rd on Showtime’s “SHOBOX: The New Generation.” Everything is on the line for these young guns, as this fight has been sanctioned as both a WBC Championship Elimination and NABF title bout. The first affair was a twelve round slugfest, where Diaz walked home with a one point split decision and the NABF Featherweight title.

Now 7 months later, the two warriors go at it again with a title shot looming for the winner. “The Ghost” is coming off an electrifying TKO win against Sandro Marcos (25-15-2 21KO’s) where he stopped the veteran in 3 rounds with a vicious body attack in his first hometown appearance at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. Salivating like a hungry wolf, “The Ghost” will be seeking revenge against Diaz. “Expect the earth to shake, because I’m coming to throw down. I don’t care about anything or anyone expect Gamaliel Diaz.”– Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Oakland Arena box office, Online at www.ticktmaster.com or by phone at (510) 625-TIXS (8497). This event is brought to you by Goossen Tutor Promotions in association with Biz Productions.
