had accused Mayorga of sexually abusing her at a Managua hotel in September. He had acknowledged having sex with her at a local hotel, but said it was consensual. The boxer's attorney, Sergio Morales, said the woman brought the complaint for financial gain. The woman's attorney, Arbel Medina, and local women's rights groups protested the verdict. Juanita Jiminez, spokeswoman for the Network of Women Against Violence said the network would take the case to the Inter-American Human Right Commission as "one more case of impunity affecting women.'' Mayorga was arraigned shortly before his Oct. 2 loss to Felix Trinidad in a New York City middleweight bout. Mayorga, who has a record of 27-5 with one draw, has said he is retiring from boxing.
