The 16th of September might not mean much to the average Brit but stop a Mexican in the street and he will tell you that that is the day his country gained Independence. So on the 16th September Marco Antonio Barrera will celebrate Independence day in a rematch with Rocky Juarez in Las Vegas.
Marco has invited our very own ‘White Mexican” Ricky Hatton to be his guest at the fight. Ricky has accepted and will dust off his sombrero to be ringside with promoter Dennis Hobson and the rest of Team Hatton to support the “Baby Faced Assasin”.
Ricky is quoted as saying “When Marco asked me to go out I did’nt need asking twice. It will be an honour to support my friend. He’s an amazing boxer and a great guy.”
Ricky has been back in the gym during the last couple of weeks and is taking a short break before stepping up his training later this month in anticipation of his next fight on the 9th December.
