Promoter Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing congratulates Vinny Maddalone, Malachy Farrell and all the other boxers in what turned out to be a fantastic night of televised boxing, last Friday, August 18, at the City Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.
In front of an energetic and vocal live audience, as well as nationwide viewers of the MSG Network, Maddalone (27-3, 19 KOs) won a thrilling 10-round majority decision over tough-as-nails Jermell Barnes (17-13-1, 4 KOs) in the evening’s main event. Maddalone’s Star Boxing stable mate, Malachy Farrell (15-0, 12 KOs) was also very impressive, as he stepped up in class to stop always-tough Shannon Miller (now 14-2, 8 KOs) in round five.
“Overall, it was a fantastic night and we’d like to thank the MSG Network; the City Center staff; our co-promoter, Pugnacious Promotions; and the fight fans of Saratoga who made it such an electric night,” said DeGuardia. “We look forward to putting on these shows every year and now, with the MSG Network on board, we get to share these incredible shows with the rest of the country.”

Eric Rodriquez W4 Wayne Atkins
