European Light Welter Champion Junior Witter's long awaited return to a world championship bout nears the boiling point as the Bradford, England based power puncher is set to meet former WBO titlist DeMarcus Corley on 15 September at the Alexandra Palace in London for the vacant WBC title on a Hennessy Sports promotion.
A conference call between the two takes place this coming Monday and a press conference is scheduled two days later in what are sure to be combustible occasions. Witter, 33-1-2 (19), hasn't lost a fight in six years while Corley, 31-4-1 (17), gave Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto their toughest fights in losing efforts within the last two years.
The pair are set to weight-in at the fight venue the day before the contest takes place on Saturday, 15 September.
