Chris Sanigar's West Country Boxing will host a press conference in Bristol, England on Wednesday featuring former world super middleweight champion Glenn Catley who will announce the details of his comeback fight after an absence of more than three years from the ring.
Catley, 27-7 (19), turned professional in May of 1993 and won the WBC, IBF Intercon and WBO Intercon titles at super middle along with British and WBC International titles at middleweight before calling it quits in February of 2003.
The Bristol man hit his stride in 1999 when he stopped Eric Lucas in the twelfth and final round to win a WBC eliminator but topped that in 2000 by handing previously undefeated WBC Champion Markus Beyer his first loss.
At 34 years of age, Catley will be trying to resurrect a career that saw him lose four of his last five bouts between September 2000 and February of 2003.
