Silverhawk Championship Boxing announced it has signed former NABF heavyweight champion Robert "Desert Storm" Davis to a promotional contract. Davis (31-7, 19 KOs), fighting out of Akron (OH), turned pro in 1997, registering a first-round knockout against Donald Harris in Nashville (TN). Davis' most notable victories have been against previously unbeaten Charles Shufford (13-0), Greg Page (57-15-1) and Terrence Lewis (31-11). The 6-3, 230-pound Davis has also been in against former world champion Michael Moorer, world title challengers Monte Barrett and Michael Grant, Lance Whitaker, undefeated Joe Mesi and Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison.
