Michael Walker Added To 8 Count’s October Fury Boxing Card

By Boxing Press October 10th, 2006 All Press Releases

Undefeated middleweight prospect Michael Walker has been added to the 8 Count/Top Rank shared October Fury card set for Friday, October 20th at Cicero Stadium, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

Walker, a former Chicagoland amateur standout, is riding a six bout winning streak since his much talked about draw with Jimmy Gonzalez on July 15, 2005 at the Aragon Ballroom. The draw is the only blemish on his otherwise perfect record of 13-0-1(8KO’s).

Said Pesoli, “Walker’s a real warrior, his fight with Jimmy had our fans on their feet for the duration of the bout, cheering on both guys. We’re very happy to bring him back for our fans to get another viewing.”

More information on Michael Walker’s appearance will be announced shortly. Walker is promoted by Octavius James of One in a Million, Incorporated headquartered in Merrillville, Indiana.

The full eight bout fight card is as follows,

Michel Rosales vs. Jesus Soto Karass, welterweights, ten rounds
Jason Litzau vs. TBA, featherweights, ten rounds,
Michael Walker vs. TBA, middleweights
Omar Reyes vs. Yamin Mohammed, featherweights, six rounds
Jose Manuel Ortega vs. Andrew Marquez, welterweights, six rounds,
Mateusz Masternak vs. Dione Craig, light heavyweight, five rounds
Marcos Esquivel vs. Marsay Buggs, super lightweights, four rounds,
Andrzej Fonfara vs. Johnny Higgins, welterweights, four rounds

The Master of Ceremonies for this event will be the internationally recognized voice of Latino boxing, Lupe Contreras.
