Anthony Hardy British Prospect Anthony Hardy Wins Debut On Saturday

There was almost a promise at hand by Anthony Hardy (1-0-0 0 KO’s) that he’d get the win on Saturday night.

He’d back up the investments by his trainers, promoters, and team put into him in the last couple years. He wasn’t going to let one of the most precious moments of his life fall into the gutters.

Anthony Hardy fought past a hungry Matt Seawright to win an impressive 39-37 points decision in his four round attraction at Phil Jefferies “Summer Rumble”.

Over the last week, month, year, the thought of Hardy being a British level, European level, or even world level professional fighter has been inculcated deep into his mind. He knew that for people to not brush him off as just another hopeful young kid he needed to make an impression.

Despite having Seawright stunned in round four he couldn’t finish the fueled veteran, who at times seemed to have Hardy in a knot – but that was nowhere near enough to stop a pledged fighter in possibly one of the greatest opportunities of his lifetime.

At the end of the night, it was clear that Hardy’s rolling, slippery; southpaw style would lead most domestic boxers to the same troubles of Seawright.

While Hardy is not a man to hype and endorse himself he does look forward to the challenge presented by his local brethren and is confident he will be successful in targeting the regional, British and perhaps European titles in the coming years.

For now he hopes to remain active; his return is being planned within the next month or two. More details will be released imminently.
