As part of it's ongoing World Boxing Cares program, the WBC paid a visit yesterday to ailing kids at the Arnold Palmer Hospital For Children and Women in Orlando, Florida. The organization was represented by Ariel Aburto, who was joined by former Women's boxing champion Christy Martin, her husband Jim along with Rowland Bryant and Derrick Bryant, two boxers managed by the Martins. Child Life Manager for the facility, Shari A. Mosley, escorted the visitors around the premises.
Gifts and mementos were handed out to the sick children, with Christy and Derrick giving hats and small gloves while Ariel donated lifetime honorary WBC membership diplomas.
"The visit at the hospital was great yesterday," said Christy Martin. "It sure makes you appreciate God's blessings."
