Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing proudly announce their next event, an eight-bout night of professional boxing at “the most spectacular and grandiose theater ever built in the United States,” the Paradise Theater in Bronx, New York, on Friday, December 8.
Fighting in the main event will be Ukrainian strongman Andrey Tsurkan (24-2, 15 KOs) in a 12-round defense of his NABF Light Middleweight Championship. Star Boxing President Joe DeGuardia says that with Tsurkan, it’s nearly impossible to have a boring fight
“The networks and fans love Andrey because he’s all guts and heart. This upcoming fight is very important for him. He had a very big win his last time out against Hector Camacho Jr. (TKO
and we think a couple more high-profile victories and he’ll be in line for a world title fight.
DeGuardia says the venue for his latest event will add another dimension to the festivities. “We’re very pleased to be staging our latest show at such a breathtaking venue as the Paradise Theater. It’s really something to see if you haven’t been there since it was restored.”
The Paradise Theater was originally named the Loews Paradise Theater and was opened in 1929. Meticulously adorned, this majestic venue adds a classic and stately feel to the events it hosts. In the past couple of years, the theater has been completely restored to its original beauty.
The exciting undercard for this special event will be announced soon. Tickets are available at the Paradise Theater Box Office, by calling 1 800 353-8040, (212) 307-7171, at all TicketMaster outlets, or by visiting ticketmaster.com.
