World class professional boxing will once again return to U.S. Cellular Field, Home of the 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox on Saturday, August 23, it was announced today by the Illinois Sports Facility Authority, Round 3 Productions and Hitz Boxing.
Last years’ event on August 16th was a tremendous success and sports fans in Chicago have eagerly awaited news on the return of “Boxing at the Ballpark”.
“We’re thrilled once again to work with Frank Mugnolo of Round 3 Productions on this years’ event” said Kelly Kraft, Executive Director of the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, owners of U.S. Cellular Field.
“Working together we presented a one-of-a-kind world class event and we look forward to another outstanding evening of boxing under the stars.”
“It’s an honor to work with Kelly and her team at the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority and the first-class Chicago White Sox organization” said Mugnolo.
“Round 3 and Bobby Hitz of Hitz Boxing can’t wait to get started on this years’ event.”
Said Hitz, “I’m thrilled to be a part of this promotion and look forward to presenting a fantastic evening of boxing and entertainment on Saturday, August 23rd.”
In 2014, Chicago Radio Station, B96, will be an official media partner of “Boxing at the Ballpark”. J Niice, Showbiz Shelly, Producer Gabe, and Producer Mary from the “B96 J Show” which airs weekdays 5:30am-10:00am will be brand ambassadors of the event with activations throughout June, July and August, including a Live Broadcast from US Cellular on August 22 and a pre-event Boxing Bash Tailgate on August 23.
