Santa Comes Early To 500 Midshipmen As Boxing Returns To Long Island
Final Forum Boxing will put on pro boxing at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Great Neck, Long Island, NY on Friday, December 15 and the promoter is donating 500 free tickets to Midshipmen as an early Holiday gift. "We want to thank the brave men and women who protect our freedom each and everyday," said Final Forum's Sal Musumeci, "we want them to come to the fights Friday December 15, 2006 at 7:30PM and take their minds off of the day to day grind for a while."
On the card will be the New York State Heavyweight Champion, Medford, Long Island's Derric Rossy (14-0, 8 KO), fresh off of the biggest win of his career against Shannon Miller (opponent TBD). Also will be Heavyweight contenders Vinny Maddalone (opponent TBD) and Zuri Lawrence(opponent TBD), undefeated female sensation Chika Nakamura, and local favorites Bobby Campbell, Ray Gonzalez, "Russian Twin" Khabir Suleymanov, and pro debut Shawn Boyle.
