Big Ticket Boxing Productions, the specialist boxing division of leading Australian sports and entertainment marketing group Cross Country Entertainment, announced today that have signed an agreement with New York based Star Boxing that will see them work as co-promoters on a series of major bouts in Australia commencing in early 2007.
The bouts co-promoted by CCE and Star under the title of World Fight Night are dedicated to bringing a series of top line marquee bouts to Australia showcasing some of the best international fighters available in the main events with up and coming Australian boxers on the undercard.
Star CEO Joe De Guardia said “We have been negotiating this venture for several months and are delighted that we have now reached an agreement with CCE as I have been looking at ways to promote into Australia for sometime and this co-promotional agreement combines the local skill and knowledge of CCE with our experience, contracted boxers and US contacts”.
Kevin Leighton, Director of CCE was equally pleased saying “This agreement not only enables us to promote top line bouts in Australia but it also offers select young boxers managed by CCE the opportunity to show their skills by appearing on Star Boxing programs in the US”.
