President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush have invited unbeaten Brooklyn boxing star Dmitriy Salita to the White House to attend their annual Chanukah Festival Celebration on Monday, December 18.
Salita, the undefeated junior welterweight, has a record of 26-0-1 with 15 KO’s, and is promoted by DiBella Entertainment. The celebration will include the annual Menorah lighting by the President and First Lady, and it will be Dmitriy’s second visit to the White House.
Born in Odessa, Ukraine, and now fighting out of Brooklyn after immigrating to the United States with his parents at age nine. Salita is a spiritual young man who practices Orthodox Judaism. Thus, he has been dubbed "Star of David."
