Hava, Gomez, Chudinov Make Weight For Title Clashes

The World Boxing Association Super Bantamweight world champion Jackie Nava, and her Argentinan challenger Mayra Alejandra Gómez are waiting for the opening bell of the fight of this Saturday, February 28, at the convention center of Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico.

Both fighters weighed 122 lb. Nava, 31-4-3, 13 KO’s, will make her sixth defense of the black and gold belt and made it clear that she would not lose against her impetuous opponent, Gómez 16-3, 4 KO’s, who is fighting for the first time for the WBA/WBC belts in the hands of the “Aztecs Princess”.

The WBC appointed the North American Rocky Burke as the referee and Marty Sammon (US) as judge. The supervisor will be Alejandro González.

The WBA appointed Carla Caiz (US) and Carlos Sucre (VEN), and the supervisor will be Alberto Sarmiento (VEN).

Russian Dmitry Chudinov, World Boxing Association Middleweight interim champion, and his challenger, Britain’s Chris Eubank, are on weight for the battle of this Saturday at the O2 Arena in Greenwich, London, England.

Chudinov marked the exact 160 pounds, and Eubank, international champion as well as the highest available contender (#4) of the division, weighed 159 pounds.

The Interim champion has a professional record of 14-0, 9 KO’s, will make his third defense of the title he won in 2013 in Moscow, against Juan Camilo Novoa.
