Promoter Dennis Hobson of Fight Academy arrived in Las Vegas yesterday and immediately met with the star of his promotional stable, Ricky Hatton, who is in town preparing for his hotly anticipated IBF/IBO Light Welterweight title showdown with Juan Urango.
After a cup of good old fashioned English tea, the pair took a walk down the strip, taking in the sights. At the fabulous Paris Hotel, the location of the Urango bout, the guys stopped for a moment to savour the magic of Las Vegas.
With training going great in Las Vegas, Hatton can't wait to get into the ring on Saturday, January 20 to challenge for the IBF and IBO Light Welterweight world titles against tough Columbian, Juan Urango.
The interest in the Hatton vs. Urango contest continues to grow, with rumors circulating that a number of celebrities and boxing legends such as Lennox Lewis, Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti, Winky Wright and Emanuel Steward will be ringside. Ticket sales are fantastic and it looks like extra tickets might be made available to accommodate fight fans through www.ticketmaster.com and the Paris Box Office at 1-888-727-4758.
