he is facing at the “Battle at the Bay,” and will do everything to ensure a victory.

“I had two opponents to choose from for this fight, Kermit Cintron and Luis Collazo, and in the end Kermit had some problems and we decided on Collazo,” said Mosley. “Luis is a difficult fighter, because he is a south paw and he is going to come with everything to try and beat me.”

“However, my goal is to continue to win and I will win this fight,” said Mosley who returns to Mandalay Bay where he defeated Fernando “Feroz” Vargas by knockout in the sixth round on July 15, 2006.

Luis Collazo (27-2, 13 KO’s), the former WBA welterweight world champion and in his last fight defeated Armenian Artur Atadzhanov by knockout in the sixth round on November 4, 2006, emphasizes that he is the uncrowned world champion after his controversial fight against Ricky Hatton.

“This is my time and I believe that it is time for Shane to pass the torch,” said Collazo. “I want to be the new world champion and on February 10th I will melt Sugar. Puerto Rico and the boricuas from New York will be very proud of me.”

“Battle At The Bay” - Mosley vs. Collazo, will be presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Don King Productions. The fight will air live on HBO World Championship Boxing at 9:45 PM EST / 6:45 PM PST.

Tickets to Mosley vs. Collazo are priced at $300, $200, $100 and $50. Tickets can be purchased at any Mandalay Bay box office and all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (Smith’s Food and Drug Centers, Macy’s stores and Ritmo Latino).  To charge by phone with a major credit card, call the Mandalay Bay box office at (702) 632-7580 or Ticketmaster at (702) 474-4000.  Tickets are also available for purchase at www.mandalaybay.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
