On Monday, January 15, IBF Pan Pacific Light Heavyweight Champion Danny "The Green Machine" Green started a series of fitness boxing sessions with members of the Australian Football League St. Kilda Saints at Moorabbin Oval in suburban Melbourne, Australia.
Following the session with the Saints players, Danny conducted his own training session on Moorabbin Oval in preparation for his upcoming fight against PABA Champion Paul Murdoch on Sunday, January 21 at the Melbourne State Netball And Hockey Centre.
Green, 22-3 (20), is a former Interim WBC Super Middleweight titlist and participated in the largest grossing boxing match in Australian history during a loss to Anthony Mundine in 2006. The 33 year old knockout artist is coming off a thrilling stoppage victory over the rugged Jason "The Nailer" DeLisle this past September and will likely challenge WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Silvio Branco later this year.
Further training sessions with the St. Kilda Saints will take place on Wednesday, January 17 and Friday, January 19 with each session taking place at Moorabbin Oval at 9 AM.
Green Machine Promotions present "Lights Out", featuring light heavyweights Danny Green vs. Paul Murdoch along with full undercard at the Melbourne State Netball and Hockey Centre in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday, January 21. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Tickets available at www.ticketmaster.com.au
