DiBella Presents Salita-Delgado.

By Boxing Press December 28th, 2004 All Boxing News, Press Releases

Fight fans can ring in 2005 with a heavy diet of boxing action as the seventh installment of DiBella Entertainment's popular Broadway Boxing Presented by Mohegan Sun will air on Madison Square Garden Network on New Year's Eve, Friday, December 31, at 11:00 PM, New Year's Day, Saturday, January 1, at 4:00 PM, and Sunday, January 2, at 7:05 PM. A bevy of New York City stars on the rise highlighted the card from the Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center (November 18), headlined by Brooklyn's unbeaten junior welterweight sensation Dmitriy Salita (19-0, 11 KO's) vs. Paul Delgado (12-4-1, 2 KO's) of Atlanta, Georgia.

In televised under card fights, Jaidon Codrington takes on Anthony Osbourne in a scheduled six-round super middleweight clash; while Ehinomen "Hino" Ehikhamenor squares off against Mark Miller in a cruiserweight contest slated for eight-rounds. Salita, a native of Odessa, Ukraine, has fought to capacity crowds in his last two fights in his hometown, first at the Oceana in Brooklyn, and then at the Manhattan Center. He recently attended a White House Chanukah Celebration hosted by President George Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.

Giving the blow by blow commentary will be MSG Network's Sam Rosen, teaming up with boxing authority Tony Paige to handle the expert analyst duties, and New York native and former Golden Gloves champion Brian Adams for ringside reporting.

The Broadway Boxing cards originate from venues in the five boroughs, the greater New York Metropolitan Tri-State area, and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Mohegan Sun is the series site sponsor. Turner Construction, HBO Sports, and Gallagher's Steak House are also sponsors.

Fight fans can also reminisce 2004's greatest Broadway Boxing moments with the Best of Broadway Boxing 1, airing on the Madison Square Garden Network on Sunday, January 16 at 7:05 PM and Monday, January 17 at 12:00 AM.
