Impact Boxing: Andrew A Lowe looking forward to Kings Hall return

By Boxing Press February 8th, 2007 All Press Releases

Newark’s Carl Greaves trained AA Lowe is set to make his third appearance in the professional boxing ring and will return to the scene of his first two contests at the Kings Hall, Stoke-on-Trent. Welterweight Lowe suffered an unfortunate points defeat to the much heavier John Musgrove in his pro debut but bounced back in November with a six round points victory over the London based Pole, Pawell Jas. Lowe will be looking to further improve his record on 24th February against an, as yet, unnamed opponent.

Former marine Andrew is now boxing as AA Lowe at the request of the British Boxing Board of Control in order to avoid confusion with Hackney light-heavyweight Andrew Lowe.

Lowe is eagerly anticipating his next encounter: “Carl is training me hard and I will be well prepared by the 24th,” said Lowe. “I was good to get my first win under my belt last time out and I am looking forward to earning a few more victories this year.”

“I’m really enjoying my boxing and enjoying the training too and with Carl Greaves behind me I am convinced that I can progress in the sport. My immediate goal is to pick up as many victories as I can and continue to learn the pro game. This will hopefully move me up the rankings and allow me to go for major titles eventually; that’s a long way off though and, for now, I am content to fight as often as I can.”

Lowe went on to discuss his feelings about boxing in the Potteries: “Yes it would be nice for my fans to fight nearer to home but I can have no complaints really. A good following make the journey from Newark to cheer me on and the Stoke fans give me great support too. Over and above that everyone connected with the promoters, Impact Boxing, treats me very professionally and always makes me feel welcome there. I am happy to box in Stoke for as long as I am welcome there.”

Tickets for Andrew’s next bout can be obtained from Impact Boxing by telephoning: 0845 156 7168
