At The Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport, last night, local man – Jordan Clayton, secured his fourth win in the pro ranks by outpointing Marcin Cybulski of Poland over six action-packed rounds. A messy fight at times between these two, particularly in the fifth frame, but the Solihull man had his opponent backed on the ropes on a number of occasions and, despite a point deduction in round 3 for low blows, wins on points (59-54)

Also on the Errol Johnson – Black Country Boxing dinner show, there were home wins for Brad Foster and Michael Cole, while Atherton boxer – William Warburton, caused another upset by outpointing debutant Ikram Hussain.

Jordan Clayton (Solihull) v Marcin Cybulski (Elblag, Poland)
6 x 3 Super-Welterweight Contest

Clayton on points 59-54

Brad Foster (Lichfield) v Anwar Alfadli (Sheffield via Kuwait)
6 x 3 Super-Flyweight Contest

Alfadli sustained a cut to the top/left side of his head from an accidental clash of heads in round 1.

Foster was warned for low blows in round three. Alfadli was on the canvas twice in the last 20 seconds of round five but neither were knockdowns. Foster gets the points win 59-55

Michael Cole (Southam, Warwickshire) v Kristian Laight (Nuneaton)
4 x 3 Welterweight Contest

This was ‘Mr.Reliable’ Laight’s 250th contest but sadly he wasn’t rewarded with a ‘win’ and Cole gets it on points 40-37

Ikram Hussain (Debut)(Birmingham) v William Warburton (Atherton)
4 x 3 Super-Welterweight Contest

Hussain threw wild swinging shots while experienced Warburton kept focused to win on points 39-38
