Williams Claims Injury.

Former WBC heavyweight title challenger Danny Williams recently informed the media that he suffered an injury to his right shoulder during the second round of his challenge to world champion Vitali Klitschko last month. Williams, who fought through a dislocated shoulder injury to knock out Mark Potter in a domestic fight, claimed to load

up on right hands early to go for a quick knockout of Klitschko only to be foiled when the injury prevented him from gathering any real momentum. Williams pointed to his excessive use of the left hook during the fight as evidence of his injured right, but has not gone as far as to use the injury as the scapegoat for his defeat. Williams' concern about the injury leads to fears that he may require surgery to correct the problem. We'll keep you informed of any further developments.
