Serious rumors in the boxing world indicate that the proposed super fight between Puerto Rican legend Felix "Tito" Trinidad and current light middleweight champion Ronald "Winky" Wright is about to fall apart. The primary reason for this is rooted in Wright's dismay at being offered what he considers a paltry amount of money for facing Trinidad. Apparently, Wright was offered approximately five millions dollars to be the opponent for Trinidad's return to the ring last year. However, Wright found himself contractually bound to deliver another fight with Shane Mosley which he won by majority decision last November. King then threw a revised three million dollar offer for Wright to face Trinidad in March of this year. Wright considers a March date to be too early for him to return to the ring and naturally scoffs at the truncated fee he has been offered for the Trinidad fight. With a serious threat of this great fight being ruined in the making, stay tuned to saddoboxing.com for more details as they happen.
