At thirty-seven years old, former three weight world champion Johnny Tapia makes his return to the ring against thirty-three year old Nicky Bentz in Hidalgo, Texas, USA later this month. Tapia won world titles at super flyweight, bantamweight and featherweight and continues to campaign in the featherweight division. The last time Tapia was in the ring, he lost a surprising

ten round split decision to unheralded Frankie Archuleta. Tapia's current record stands at fifty-three wins, four losses and two draws. It is unknown exactly what future plans Tapia has in mind but one thing is for sure, there are no easy routes to a world championship title in the featherweight division these days.
