Danny Green Vs Manny Siaca May 30

By Boxing Press April 5th, 2007 All Press Releases

Green Machine Promotions have pleasure in announcing a IBO world title elimination bout between Danny Green and Puerto Rico's Manny Siaca on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Challenge Stadium in Perth, Australia.

In what promises to be one of his toughest bouts yet, Green 23-3 (21 KO's) tackles the highly rated KO specialist Siaca, 20-6 (18 KO's), who has fought for the world title on 6 occasions and is well known for sending Anthony Mundine to the canvas and taking away his WBA super middle weight world title in May 2004.

At light heavyweight, Green is currently the IBF # 7, WBA # 6, WBC #10 and IBO #15, while Siaca is the WBA # 9, IBF # 15 and IBO # 19.

Green's move to light heavy weight has proven to be a successful one with wins over fellow Australians and world ranked opponents Jason Delisle and Paul Murdoch over the past 6 months.

All going to plan, April 22 will confirm the fight will be for the IBO world title should Antonio Tarver not proceed with his scheduled bout. Rumors indicate this will be the case.

The bout will also move the winner higher up the rankings in all major sanctioning bodies and put them in a position to be the mandatory to the belt holder.

This is a fight not to be missed as two of the world's premier top 10 light heavyweight fighters go toe to toe for the opportunity to fight for the IBO world title. Both are devastating knock out punches so this fight promises to end by KO!

The bout also will feature local fighters Daniel Kickett, Robbie Bryant and Adam Wills as well as rising interstate star Daniel Geale and the controversial Jonathon Hopoate!

These fights will be all action and well matched affairs. Tickets will be available from Thursday 5 April 2007 through Tickemaster7 outlets, www.ticketmaster.com.au and telephone 136100.
