By Boxing Press April 23rd, 2007 All Press Releases

Chicago’s 8 Count Productions has announced details of "Mano A Mano", the next action packed evening of world class professional boxing on Friday, May 11 at Cicero Stadium.

In the main event, undefeated light heavyweight prospect Tavoris Cloud will take on Las Vegas native Jim Strohl in a scheduled ten round bout. Cloud, 14-0 with thirteen knockouts has quickly become touted in the boxing media as one of the hottest prospects in boxing.

Cloud’s Chicagoland appearances have had packed houses exhilarated with his fast hands, world class boxing skills and destructive power. In his most recent bout on February 16, 2007, Cloud dominated veteran Aaron Norwood from the opening bell before a crushing second round knockout that stunned the crowd at Cicero Stadium.

Strohl, 27-4 with 21 knockouts is trained by three time world champion and International Boxing Hall of Famer Mike “The Bodysnatcher” McCallum.

In the co-main event, Chicagoan Carl “The Iron Fist” Davis, 9-2 (8KO’s) will battle in a ten round bout. On February 16, 2007, David thrilled the crowd at Cicero Stadium with a devastating first round knockout of Innocent Otukwu.

As a special feature attraction, two time world title challenger Angel “TORO” Hernandez, 27-6 (16KO’s) will compete in a middleweight bout. Hernandez’s career includes battles with world champions Winky Wright, Kassim Ouma, Frankie Randall and Wilfredo Rivera. Hernandez’s crowd pleasing and true warrior style has made him a favorite amongst boxing fans nationwide since turning professional in 1996.

Also appearing on the card in separate bouts will be super lightweight Jose Manuel Ortega, super bantamweight Ivan Rodriguez and lightweight Leo Martinez.

Much more information on this event will be announced shortly.

Master of Ceremonies for this event will be nationally known ring announcer, Thomas Treiber.

The weigh-in for "Mano A Mano" will take place at 7pm on Thursday, May, 10th at Club Aquarius, 2459 N. Pulaski on the northwest side of Chicago

"Mano A Mano" is presented by 8 Count Productions along with TCF Bank and Miller Beer.
