As reported exclusively by Saddoboxing.com last week from Frank Warren himself, a Tszyu-Hatton fight would be made over the weekend or other options would be sought for Hatton. Matters seemed to have come to a head when Tszyu finally acknowledged his agreement to the fight by calling a press conference to make |
an official announcement in his adopted home of Australia. Tszyu detailed his involvement in a deal that would see him fight Ricky Hatton on Hatton's own Manchester turf for approximately four million American dollars. The fight was mentioned to be held on June the 5th in the early hours of the morning in order to accommodate US TV network Showtime who would televise the fight. Now at the last, Warren has announced that he has not reached a final agreement in regards to all terms of the fight and that an official announcement cannot and should not be made until such details are finalized. Stay tuned for more details on this story as they happen.
