Former three weight world champion Erik Morales may have been upstaged by Marco Antonio Barrera last November, but he doesn't suffer embarrassment for very long. Far from spending months brooding over his loss, Morales has usurped the momentum gained by Barrera and virtually every other fighter in the featherweight division by
stealing in to fight Manny Pacquiao in March. Pacquiao became available for the fight when WBA/IBF featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez priced himself out of a rematch with Pacquiao. So, the score will remain unsettled between Pacquiao and Marquez, but Pacquiao and Morales will make for a more than fitting replacement for that fight. Morales and Pacquiao are true warriors who have apparently agreed terms for the fight immediately without spending months debating terms. Stay tuned for more details as they happen.
