European Lightweight champ Yuri Romanov, fresh off a third round knockout win over Tontcho Tontchev, will make another voluntary defence of the title in July in Donetsk, Ukraine. Romanov will take on Andrei Kudriatsev.

It will be Brazilian Carlos Nascimento that challenge WBO Junior Middle champ Sergey Dzinziruk on May 19 at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg, Germany.

Emanuele De Prophetis and Aram Ramazyan fight for the vacant IBF International 135 lb title May 18 in Udine, Italy.

Ukrainian junior middle Zauerbek Baysangurov joins Husseyn Bayram as co-challenger for the vacant European title.

WIBF, GBU and WBA supermiddle champ Natascha Ragosina defends her titles May 25 in Cologne, Germany. An opponent has yet to be announced but US-based Swede Aasa Sandell reportedly had an offer to challenge Ragosina but negotiations fell through at a very early stage.

The May 25 show is promoted by Spotlight Boxing and have WBA flyweight queen Susianna Kentikian headlining against Nadia Hockmi. WBO Intercontinental middleweight ruler Sebastian Zbik is the third headliner.

Belgian middle Alexandre Polizzi will take a break from boxing. Polizzi was stopped by Paul Smith in eight March 30 and was then floored by Czech Tomas Kugler April 15 – but got up and won. Alexander feels he needs some time to recuperate and then return next season.
