AMI Production´s show in Ajaccio, Corsica on June 1 will now also feature Jean Nicolas Weigel vs. Juan Carlos Melero in a fight for the vacant European Union Lightweight title. In the headliner, European Flyweight champ Andrea Sarritzu will defend against Bernard Inom while European Super Middle ruler Devi Gogiya take on Italian veteran Cristian Sanavia in the co-feature. In the fourth title fight, flyweights Christophe Rodriguez and Jose Antonio Lopez Bueno clash for the vacant European Union belt.

Arena Box Promotion in Hamburg is planning a small heavyweight tournament consisting of Konstantin Airich, Pedro Carrion, Goran Gogic and Aldo Colliander beginning July 6 in Hamburg, Germany. This means a change of plans for Aldo, who is thus off the Ankara, Turkey show June 16 where heavies Sinan Samil Sam and Juan Carlos Gomez headline.

Italian heavy Paolo Vidoz reports that training is going well for the rematch against European champ Vladimir Virchis May 19 in Hamburg. Vidoz is sparring with Brit John McDermott. There will all in all be six title fights on this Universum promotion: at supermiddle Lukas Wilaschek and Ali Yilderim fight for the International German title and Karolina Lukasik defends the WIBF jr middle crown against Heidi Hartmann and then of course, Sergey Dzinziruk vs Carlos Nascimento for the WBO 154 lb title. Thomas Ulrich vs Leonard Turchi for the European175 lb crown and Jurgen Brahmer vs Hector Velazco, WBO Intercontinental 168 belt.

IFKO and Boxtempel, two Berlin gyms, will stage a co-promotion there on June 23 and plan to stage a competition between the gyms. On the bill will be the likes of Aleksander Jakob, Enrico Germandia, Riccardo Grassmann and Robert Rolle.
French / Algerian jr welter prospect Ali Chebah stopped brave Spaniard David Racaj in the fifth of a scheduled eight-rounder tonight (May 8) in Guadalajara, Spain. Racaj was down in the second and took a one-sided beating when it was stopped in the fifth.

In another bout, Danish supermiddle Mads Larsen returned after more than three years out and outscored Russian spoiler Vasily Andriayanov over eight. Larsen showed a lot of ring rust and was off to a slow start but picked it up later in the fight. Andriyanov was very defensive minded and only did what he had to do to survive. Mads seemed content to box his way to a unanimous decision and never opened up. Andriyanov came forward in the eighth but was picked off.

Off this performance Mads Larsen, now with Sauerland Event, needs to show a lot more fire and desire if he is to make it back to the world class he once competed in.
Spanish jr light Francisco Nohales came from behind to knock out favored Sergio Blanco in the ten round main event of Tundra vs Barcelo´s show tonight in Guadalajara that went out live on EuroSport. Nohales was outboxed early on but came on strong in the later rounds. Blanco tired and was a spent force going into the tenth and last round and was against the ropes when Nohales connected with a hard right hook. Blanco went down and was counted out. This was an eliminator for the national title held by Oscar Sanchez Sandoval.

In another bout German supermiddle Karo Murat outscored Nicolas Perrillo over six.
