Kenyan super middleweight champion Mohammed Orungi pulled out the day before his planned May 6 rematch with Samson Onyango, claiming a cut. Nobody could see a cut, but Orungi still said he had one that prevented him from fighting.
While other more foul reasons are also very likely, it is now confirmed that Orungi was never going to fight Onyango. Less than one week later he was in the ring, stopping countryman Shadrack Kipruto in four rounds. No cut and everything.
“Its obvious to everyone that Orungi is scared shitless of Samson, and is probably never going to give him the rematch he deserves. The guy is a big chicken, and knows he got lucky the first time they fought”, says Onyango’s manager Henrik Risum, and continues:
“Chicken Orungi! He should start a restaurant and serve that dish, because a real champion he will never be. What a joke”.
Onyango and stablemate James Kimori will soon return to the ring after several fights for them have mysteriously been cancelled by Kenyan promoters on very short notice.
