To: Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao
From: Jose Sulaiman Ch.
May 17, 2007
My dear champions:
Once the political conditions have cleared in the Philippines, the WBC is ruling the holding of the mandatory defense bout between the WBC world champion of the superfeatherweight Juan Manuel Marquez vs. his official challenger and WBC International champion Manny Pacquiao.
The WBC is giving 30 days of free negotiations for both fighters to sign for a promotion, with the clarification that if there is no agreement among the parties, a purse offer ceremony will be held at noon of June 18th, 2007, in the Executive Offices of the WBC in Mexico City.
Please accept my very best personal regards,
Jose Sulaiman Ch.
