Johnson-Tarver Rematch Likely.

By Boxing Press January 13th, 2005 All Boxing News

Universally recognized world light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson recently indicated on Canadian sports channel TSN that he would fight Antonio Tarver as many times as the people would pay to see it. It looks likely that he will engage Tarver at least one more time before the mid-point of this year in a rematch of their highly-competitive bout fought on December 18th. "Gentleman" Johnson was many boxing fans choice for the outstanding fighter of 2004 having won the IBF light heavyweight title against Clinton Woods before knocking out Roy Jones Jr. and finally taking a split decision over Tarver. Johnson and his trainer Orlando Cuellar are receiving a lot of praise and attention throughout the boxing community for their work in 2004, can Tarver undo their great run of form in 2005? We will keep you informed of developments in this situation.
