The Albert brothers, the first family of sports broadcasting, gathered with friends and colleagues from Showtime at Room Fifty5 on the West side of Manhattan last night to celebrate youngest brother Steve's Trifecta.
Steve Albert, perennial host and play-by-play man for the acclaimed series Showtime Championship Boxing, received the Sam Taub Award for excellence in broadcast journalism from the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA); was elected to the renowned World Boxing Hall of Fame and is celebrating 20 years behind the mic for the network's monthly fistic series.
